Company Profile and Vacancy Details

Trippert Labs is an established company in California that has developed numerous social web applications, in social networks, and on the iPhone. We are at the intersection of the social web, multiplayer 3D gaming, and user-generated content. Our team in California consists mostly of people from Harvard, Stanford and Berkeley. We work with web and 3D technologies ranging from LAMP, Flash, and Shockwave/Unity3d to Objective-C and OpenGL. Our games receive millions of users on a daily basis. We have been the leaders in the social gaming space and the iPhone.

The company is currently looking for talented System Engineers to scale its backend services and Flash/Flex developers to make fun games.

Responsibilities of Flash developers:

* Create Fun games using primarily Flash, Unity3d and openGL on social networks and iPhone
* Work closely with our product and design teams to define feature specifications
* Work closely with backend engineers to build efficient and scalable data communication

Requirements

* B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field
* Knowledge of AS3 and Flex
* Knowledge of popular data formats such as JSON/XML
* Knowledge of game related technologies: Multiplayer servers ( smartfox ), isometric engine, 2.5D view, Flash remoting, Amfphp
* Knowledge of web techologies: XHTML, JavaScript

Responsibilities of System Engineers

* Create web applications using primarily PHP and Java
* Implement web interfaces using XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript
* Work closely with our product and design teams to define feature specifications
* Work closely with operations and infrastructure to build and scale backend services
* Build report interfaces and data feeds

Requirements

* B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or related field
* Knowledge of perl or PHP or python or Java
* Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL
* Knowledge of web techologies: XHTML, JavaScript
* Experience with C, C++ a plus
