After reading about online privacy and threats faced in this discussion, i was wondering how one can achieve complete anonymity on internet? That is, like a complete invisible man leaving no footprints at all?

Do you think its possible? Have you ever achieved this in reality? What all tools do we need to achieve this?

for hiding your ip you have lot of tools out there. they're known as anonymous proxies. i use TOR proxy for this purpose, it is a very reliable one.

^^ Checked it out on the link. Will try it out soon. Seems good. Relays the information within a net work before sending it.

Yes Asigh, it has a large network run volunteers for bouncing the user's communications. So the ip that you take may come from anywhere around the world. Most of the time i get some from Russia and regions near to it.

You can also use online proxy sites.. (Search for “Proxy sites”, “online proxy” etc. in google).. The problem with being invisible like this is; the communication speed gets affected.

That is the main problem in using anonymous proxies, they really affect the speed. You can get the most out of it by some tweaks they provide, but it wont bring back the real speed of our connection.

Check this web based anonymous proxy: Proxify

You paste any URL into it and it will keep your ass clean for the time being!

Wow..tried it. Pretty good.

Ya but it would be difficult to hide 100% trace of oneself in today networld.

Well, that depends on how we behave on net, right?

For a newbie who clicks on every single ad saying "You won 50 million dollars", it would be a near impractical. But for someone who have pretty enough know-how, brief idea about the threats out there and with the correct tools, its quite possible!
