excellent guide!
just followed it to the letter on a HG shared account and it worked without a hitch!

think this must be one of the first trac/svn guides I've ever followed to the letter and not hit a problem

very very well done!

When I attempt to reach www.mydomain.com/trac, I get a message "You have chosen to open <<blank space>> which is a: application/cgi from http://www.mydomain.com. I'm given a choice to save the file or open it with an application. When I look at it in notepad, it appears to be the index.cgi file. How do I get it to execute and not download?

And thanks for the article.

I've followed all the steps you give and get the following dialog box when I attempt to access Trac (i.e. www.<mydomain>.com/trac:
=====
You have chosen to open

<completely blank in message>

which is a: application/cgi
from: http://www.<mydomain>
What should Firefox do with this file?
O Open with [Browse]
O Save File
[ ] Do this automatically for files like this from now on.
=====

Can anyone tell me what I did wrong and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks.

Can anyone tell me what I did, or am doing, wrong, and how to correct it?

Thanks,
